About ahq eSports Club
ahq eSports Club was a well-known League of Legends organisation from Taiwan that competed in the PCS, the Pacific Championship Series serving the Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan region. Though the team has since disbanded, ahq was one of the most recognisable names to emerge from the Taiwanese scene and a long-standing fixture of competition across that part of the world.
A Storied Taiwanese Name
ahq built its reputation within a region famed for its technical, aggressive style of play. Taiwanese League of Legends historically punched above its weight on the international stage, and organisations based there carried the responsibility of representing a proud competitive tradition. As part of the PCS, ahq competed in a league that consolidated talent from across Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan into a single high-level circuit following earlier regional formats.
The Final Roster
Among the players associated with the club in its later years were Leaky, Ziv, Kongyue, Apex, Doggo, Wako and Ysera. Ziv in particular was a celebrated top-lane figure long linked with ahq, a veteran whose name became closely tied to the organisation’s identity. A roster of this depth allowed the team to field a competitive starting five while maintaining substitutes, reflecting the professional structure ahq maintained throughout its existence.
Competitive Standing and Legacy
The PCS was a demanding league, gathering the strongest teams of its region and sending representatives to international events where they tested themselves against the powerhouses of Korea, China and the West. ahq was a regular participant in that pursuit, and its consistency over many seasons made it a benchmark for the Taiwanese scene.
With the organisation now disbanded, ahq eSports Club is remembered as a cornerstone of Pacific-region League of Legends. Its legacy lives on through the players it developed and the years of competition it contributed, a lasting reminder of the region’s importance to the global game even after the club itself stepped away.
