About Ysera
Ysera, whose real name is Tsung-Chih Wang, is a retired professional support player from Taiwan. During his active career he most notably represented ahq eSports Club, one of the most storied organizations in the Taiwanese and wider Pacific competitive scene, competing within the PCS, the Pacific Championship Series.
The Support Craft
The support role is among the most selfless and cerebral positions in League of Legends. Rather than accumulating gold and kills, a support like Ysera would have devoted himself to protecting his bot lane partner, controlling vision across the map, and initiating or defusing team fights through timely engages, peels, and crowd control. Supports are the strategic conscience of a team, reading the flow of a match and making the small, often unglamorous plays that create advantages for their carries. At 29, Ysera brought the maturity and map awareness that the role rewards.
ahq eSports Club and the PCS
ahq eSports Club carries significant weight in the history of the region, having long been a fixture of top-level Taiwanese competition before the formation of the PCS unified the Pacific territories into a single premier league. Playing for such an organization placed Ysera within a lineage of respected teams and gave him a platform among the region’s established names. The PCS itself represents the consolidated pinnacle of competitive play across Southeast Asia and beyond.
After the Stage
Having retired from active play, Ysera closes a chapter defined by his service in the support role for a prominent organization. The end of a playing career is a natural transition in esports, and support players in particular often carry their deep understanding of macro play into coaching, analysis, or mentorship. Ysera’s contributions to ahq and the PCS remain part of the competitive tapestry of Taiwanese League of Legends, a scene he helped enrich through his time on the Rift.
