LYON open LCS Summer with two wins over FlyQuest

LYON defeated FlyQuest in two games during the opening LCS Summer week. The first game belonged to LYON from the lanes onward. FlyQuest created a much closer fight in the second.
Dhokla completed the opener without dying on Gnar. Berserker then led the final game on Jayce. LYON converted stronger lane pressure into control of the base.
Dhokla controls the opening game
FlyQuest started with Ambessa, Lee Sin and Akali across the upper lanes. Massu selected Ziggs, while Cryogen played Leona. LYON used Gnar, Jarvan IV and LeBlanc. Berserker and Isles completed the lineup with Cassiopeia and Camille.
LYON gained control before either team had opened the base. Dhokla won repeated exchanges on Gnar and stayed safe from return damage. Armao reached the side lanes with Jarvan IV. Those movements gave LYON the first useful structure pressure.
Dhokla finished with seven kills, four assists and no deaths. Berserker added five kills on Cassiopeia. Saint supplied four from the middle lane. The three damage players lost only four lives between them.
FlyQuest recorded seven kills in the opener. Gryffinn led the team with three on Lee Sin. Quad added two, while the remaining players collected one each. The kills did not create enough time to damage a tower.
LYON control every route in the opener
Armao connected Dhokla’s side pressure with Saint in the middle lane. Isles protected the carries and helped begin the larger fights. FlyQuest could not hold a safe route between its lanes.
Dhokla stayed alive while creating pressure with Gnar. Berserker dealt damage from behind the front line. Saint punished defenders who moved too far from the base.

FlyQuest found several kills but no lasting structure pressure. Its wave clear slowed individual pushes without restoring map control. LYON returned with another strong lane after every reset.
The opener ended after LYON secured the main neutral objective. The strengthened minions forced FlyQuest into several defensive positions. LYON then entered the base with all five players available.
FlyQuest fight back in the second game
Game two began with LYON on Volibear, Xin Zhao and Viktor. Berserker moved to Jayce, supported by Isles on Shen. FlyQuest selected Olaf, Vi and Syndra. Massu played Sylas beside Cryogen’s Rell.
The new draft produced a much closer contest. FlyQuest found twenty-two kills across the game. Gryffinn recorded seven of them on Vi. Massu added six, while Gakgos collected five on Olaf.
LYON accepted more deaths but kept advancing the lanes. Dhokla died six times after his perfect first game. Berserker also died five times on Jayce. Their team still held more towers and both Barons.
| Result | LYON 2-0 FlyQuest |
|---|---|
| Opening game | LYON took all nine towers |
| Second game | Berserker recorded 11 kills |
| Competition | LCS Summer |
Berserker finished with eleven kills and ten assists. His Jayce gained the highest gold total in the game. Saint added five kills and eleven assists on Viktor. Armao appeared in sixteen of LYON’s twenty-six kills.
Structure pressure decides the closer game
FlyQuest created many more fights during the second game. Gryffinn and Massu gave the team repeated chances around the river. LYON accepted several losses without giving up lane pressure.
Berserker led the reply through Jayce’s long-range damage. Saint followed with steady control from the middle lane. Their work kept FlyQuest away from damaged structures.
Both teams secured dragons during their stronger periods. LYON gained the more important Baron pressure. Those empowered waves kept the final attack moving after difficult fights.

The second game was a genuine contest, unlike the opener. FlyQuest found more kills and threatened several objectives. LYON still converted its pressure into the completed series win.
LYON answer FlyQuest’s stronger second game
Dhokla controlled the top lane with Gnar during the first game. His pressure gave Armao safe routes through the upper river. LYON then arrived first around the major objectives. FlyQuest could not take a tower before the base fell.
The second game produced far more fighting from both teams. FlyQuest reached the LYON back line several times. Berserker answered with sustained damage on Jayce. His eleven kills helped LYON survive the closest exchanges.
Armao supported every lane without taking unnecessary resources. Saint added damage when FlyQuest focused on Berserker. That division of roles kept LYON dangerous after long fights. The team remained ahead in towers despite the high kill count.
FlyQuest showed a stronger attack after the one-sided opener. Cryogen and Gryffinn helped create several winning moments. LYON still secured both Barons and protected its side lanes. Those advantages produced a second straight base finish.
FlyQuest’s second-game response forced LYON to win several difficult fights. The teams traded pressure around the river and both side lanes. LYON recovered quickly after losing players and kept its waves organised. That discipline preserved the route toward FlyQuest’s base.
Dhokla’s role changed sharply between the two games. He led the opener without dying, then absorbed pressure in the closer contest. Berserker carried more damage during that second game. LYON kept functioning while responsibility moved between lanes.
