KT Beat Shopify Without Losing a Tower

KT Rolster opened the 2026 Demacia Cup Global Invitational with a 27-minute, 18-second victory over Shopify Rebellion on October 3. KT destroyed all 10 towers without losing one and finished with 63,400 gold to Shopify’s 48,800. The 21-11 kill score completed a 1-0 start for KT and placed Shopify in the 0-1 Swiss pool.

The tower margin is the most complete measure of structural control in the result. KT took every outer, inner and base tower required for the listed total of 10, while Shopify ended at zero. The 14,600 final gold difference accompanied that gap. KT also claimed three Void Grubs and three dragons; Shopify secured one Ocean dragon but no Grubs.

Bdd led a balanced KT scoreboard

Bdd’s Syndra recorded seven kills, two deaths and 10 assists, giving him 17 kill participations out of KT’s 21. Cuzz and Jiwoo each added five kills, while PerfecT contributed three. Effort’s Leona supplied 16 assists. Four KT players participated in at least 13 kills, so the final advantage was distributed across the lineup even though Bdd held the highest kill total.

Shopify produced 11 kills despite the zero-tower finish. Contractz led the team with four kills on Pantheon, and Zinie recorded eight assists on Orianna. Fudge, Bvoy and Zeyzal added the remaining seven kills between them. Zeyzal’s six deaths were the highest individual total in the game, while Zinie finished with five.

KT’s clean structure score earns one Swiss win

The 10-0 tower result does not mean Shopify failed to contest every part of the game. Their 11 kills and Ocean dragon are confirmed returns. It does show that none of those moments converted into a tower before KT completed the Nexus route, a sharp difference between combat success and lasting structural progress.

KT’s dragon line consisted of one Chemtech and two Mountain dragons. The record does not establish a fourth dragon or a soul, so the article does not add either. The three Void Grubs and tower sweep provide enough verified objective context without extending the scoreboard beyond its listed fields.

The game was round one’s best-of-one. KT now join the teams with a 1-0 record, while Shopify enter the 0-1 group. That placement shapes the next pairing but neither qualifies nor eliminates a team on its own. Later Swiss matches switch to best-of-three, changing how much evidence a single draft can provide.

Fearless Draft is listed for the tournament, but the opening game cannot reveal its full series effect. KT used K’Sante, Qiyana, Syndra, Jhin and Leona. Shopify selected Rumble, Pantheon, Orianna, Varus and Nautilus. A future multi-game series will require additional champion decisions that were not necessary in this one-game meeting.

The final gold advantage can be reported exactly at 14,600. It should not be retroactively assigned to an earlier minute. Likewise, the 27:18 duration establishes when the game ended, not the timing of each tower or kill. Keeping those limits preserves the difference between verified totals and an imagined play-by-play.

For Shopify, the next match is a recovery chance rather than an elimination game by default. For KT, the 1-0 start creates a faster route toward the knockout stage, but another verified result is needed before qualification can be claimed. The opener sets direction; it does not settle the event.

The statistical balance also explains why the article does not reduce the victory to one lane. Bdd led the kills, Effort led the assists, Cuzz and Jiwoo supplied additional scoring, and the full team converted the structure line. Each fact contributes to the result without requiring an unofficial most valuable player label.

  • KT won in 27 minutes and 18 seconds.
  • KT destroyed all 10 towers while Shopify finished with none.
  • The final gold difference was 14,600 in KT’s favor.
  • Bdd posted 7/2/10 and Effort supplied 16 assists.

KT’s opening win paired a 21-11 kill advantage with a complete 10-0 tower score and 14,600 more final gold. Shopify found kills and one dragon, but no structural return before KT closed the game and moved into the 1-0 Swiss pool.
