About Young Generation
Young Generation were a Vietnamese League of Legends team that has since disbanded. Hailing from one of the most passionate League of Legends communities in the world, the organisation competed within Vietnam’s domestic scene before ceasing operations, and it is remembered as a former participant in a region famous for its aggressive, fast-paced style of play.
Roots in Vietnam
Vietnam holds a special place in the global League of Legends map. The country’s competitive scene developed a reputation for producing bold, skirmish-heavy teams that favour early aggression and relentless map pressure, an approach that has occasionally surprised more conventional international opponents. Young Generation emerged from this environment, sharing in the identity of a region where risk-taking and mechanical flair are prized qualities.
Competitive Environment
Domestic competition in Vietnam is intense, with a strong grassroots base feeding into its organised circuit. Teams contend not only for national supremacy but also for the chance to represent the region on international stages, where Vietnamese sides have periodically punched above expectations. For an organisation like Young Generation, operating in this scene meant facing dense competition and a demanding fan culture that follows the game closely.
As a team that has since folded, Young Generation experienced the turnover that characterises much of the competitive landscape below the very top tier. Rosters shift, sponsorship arrangements evolve, and organisations frequently rebrand or dissolve as the ecosystem reshapes itself around new opportunities and structures. The Vietnamese scene in particular has undergone significant reorganisation over the years as it integrated more fully into the broader Pacific competitive framework.
Although Young Generation are no longer active, their participation added to the richness of Vietnam’s storied League of Legends history. The region continues to thrive and export talent, and former teams such as this one form part of the deep foundation on which Vietnam’s ongoing competitive reputation was built.
