About Berjaya Dragons
Berjaya Dragons was a professional League of Legends organisation associated with Malaysia that competed within the PCS, the Pacific Championship Series serving the Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan region and its surrounding Southeast Asian talent pool. The team represented Malaysian participation in one of the most geographically diverse competitive circuits in the game, and it has since disbanded, making it a former presence in the Pacific scene.
Malaysian Colours in the Pacific
The PCS was formed to bring together the competitive communities of Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau and Southeast Asia under a unified banner, creating a regional major that channels talent from a broad set of countries. Within that framework, Berjaya Dragons stood as a side carrying Malaysian identity, contributing to the region’s diversity and giving players from Malaysia a route into a recognised international-facing competition.
Roster and Competition
The recorded roster for Berjaya Dragons lists Keres and yijie among its players. While the surviving line-up detail is limited, these names formed part of the organisation’s competitive effort during its time in the PCS. Contesting this league meant facing established Taiwanese powers and other regional contenders, a demanding environment in which newer or smaller organisations had to fight hard to establish themselves against sides with deeper histories and resources.
The Pacific circuit is characterised by strong regional rivalries and a talent base that has repeatedly produced players capable of competing on the world stage. For an organisation like Berjaya Dragons, success required navigating this competitive density while managing the logistical and financial pressures that come with sustaining a professional roster in a multi-nation league.
A Former Competitor
Now disbanded, Berjaya Dragons is remembered as a former PCS team that carried Malaysia’s flag into the Pacific competition. Its dissolution reflects the challenges faced by many organisations operating in a region where competition is intense and stability can be hard to maintain. Even so, the team’s participation added to the breadth of the PCS during its active period, and it remains part of the historical record of Malaysian involvement in high-level League of Legends.
