Fittingly for a jungler, the player known as Ganks lives up to his name. Behind the handle is Franco Sanchez Juaregui, a 25-year-old Peruvian professional who patrols the jungle for Golden Lions in the LRS, one of Latin America’s competitive circuits. His nickname captures the essence of the role he plays: the roaming architect of early aggression.
Junglers occupy a uniquely cerebral position in League of Legends. Rather than holding a single lane, they move across the map clearing neutral camps, contesting objectives like dragons and Rift Herald, and picking the moments to appear in a lane and tip a fight in their team’s favor. Ganks’s champion pool illustrates the breadth this role can encompass. Graves is a carry-oriented jungler built around raw damage and skirmishing power; Nidalee rewards mechanical precision and lightning-fast clears with her spear poke and mobility; and Gragas offers a tankier, utility-driven profile capable of controlling teamfights with disruptive engages. Wielding all three shows a jungler comfortable adapting his impact to whatever a given draft demands.
As a Peruvian talent, Ganks brings regional pride to the Golden Lions roster and to his campaigns in the LRS. The jungle is where tempo is set, and a strong jungler dictates the pace at which his team snowballs or stabilizes. Coordinating pathing with his laners, timing his ganks and reading the enemy jungler’s movements are the daily responsibilities that define his contribution to the squad.
At 25 and firmly in his competitive prime, Ganks remains an active force for Golden Lions. A versatile champion pool spanning damage carries, skill-intensive assassins and control-oriented tanks gives him and his coaching staff valuable flexibility in the draft. As the LRS season unfolds, Ganks has the tools to keep imposing his will on the map and to help steer his team toward its ambitions in the Latin American scene.
