Trundle vs Singed Counter Pick

Insanity Potion applies Grievous Wounds through Poison Trail, and that one line explains most of the matchup. Trundle’s kit runs on healing — King’s Tribute from nearby deaths, Frozen Domain increasing healing from all sources, Subjugate draining health over four seconds — and Singed cuts all of it simply by walking through him with his ultimate active.

The patch 16.13.1 sample of 189 games puts Trundle at 42.3%. Damage type reinforces the result: Singed is a magic-damage tank, so 37 base armor is idle value and only the 32 magic resist does any work. Fling followed by Mega Adhesive drops a target into poison and roots it, and the grounding blocks the usual disengage, a serious problem for a champion whose escape plan is walking away on 350 move speed. Noxious Slipstream also grants speed for passing champions, so the chase rarely favours the Troll King despite that five-point advantage.

Where Trundle leads: 68 base attack damage against 63, a 50-unit reach edge at 175 against 125, and a level-18 health pool of 2,520 against 2,282. Chomp reduces attack damage but does nothing about poison ticks, so trades work best when they are short and tied to Pillar of Ice cutting a proxy path. Grievous Wounds and magic resist come before any armor purchase against Singed.
