Kennen vs K’Sante Counter Pick

K’Sante is one of the most demanding champions in the game to pilot, rated 9 for difficulty, and the win rate reflects how often that demand goes unmet: Kennen takes 59.3% of 371 games on patch 16.13.1.

Positioning explains most of it. Kennen attacks from 550 units, K’Sante from 150, and K’Sante moves at 330 against Kennen’s 335, so he cannot even close the gap by walking. Path Maker requires a charge-up before the dash lands, Ntofo Strikes needs two stacks before it pulls, and Footwork covers a short distance. Each of those windows is enough time to apply another Mark of the Storm, and three marks stun.

Where the matchup turns genuinely dangerous is after All Out. The ultimate knocks a target back through any wall in its path and converts K’Sante into an amplified form, and with 2,665 health and 124.4 armor at level 18 he can afford to commit. Kennen answers with 2,246 health and 113.2 armor, which is not a survivable exchange once the knock-back connects. Kennen’s leverage is denying that engage: Lightning Rush passes through units and grants movement speed, and holding it as an exit rather than an entry is what keeps the numbers where they are. Both deal mixed damage, so no single resistance purchase resolves the other, and K’Sante’s mana costs punish whiffed abilities in a way an energy bar does not.
