Locke’s damage is listed as physical, and Gwen holds 39 base armor climbing to 122.3 by level 18, one of the sturdier armor curves a fighter can bring into a fight. That single mismatch does much of the work behind 58.4% across 209 games on patch 16.13.1.

Hallowed Mist compounds it. Locke’s approach is Ashen Pursuit, a teleport followed by a dash onto his next target, and Gwen cannot be targeted by anything outside the mist, so his commitment either lands on her strongest ground or does not land at all. Ritual Nails marks enemies so he can consume the marks for bonus damage on his attacks, which asks him to stay close through Snip Snip!, a cone snipping up to six times with true damage down the middle.

He is not without a route. Silver Stake adds on-hit magic damage that grows with the target’s missing health, and Purgatory can execute outright, so Gwen dropping below a safe threshold mid-fight undoes the statline entirely. Soul Ignition costs him health while it runs, keeping his aggression windows short. He opens with 655 health to her 620 but finishes at 2,508 against 2,575, and both rate 5 for difficulty, so respect for the execute matters more than mechanics. Ability lists live on Gwen and Locke.
