Akali

Akali is a hybrid-scaling assassin for the mid lane whose identity is built on the smoke of Twilight Shroud. Dropping the shroud makes her invisible and unselectable by enemy spells and attacks, and she can weave in and out of it to reset fights on her own terms. Few champions can dive a backline, vanish, and re-engage the way she can.

Her damage loop starts with Five Point Strike, a fan of five kunai that damages and slows, fueling her passive Assassin’s Mark: dealing spell damage draws a ring of energy around the victim, and stepping outside it empowers her next attack with bonus range and damage. Good Akali players are constantly dashing across that ring boundary, stitching empowered attacks between spells so every rotation deals meaningfully more damage than the raw ability numbers suggest.

Mobility as a weapon

Shuriken Flip flips her backward while firing a shuriken that marks the first enemy or smoke cloud hit, and the re-cast dashes her to the mark — meaning she can use her own shroud as a travel point. Perfect Execution stacks two more dashes on top, with the second cast executing low-health enemies it strikes. Since she runs on energy rather than mana, she never runs dry in lane, though her short cooldown windows demand precise timing.

Akali rewards aggressive, mechanically confident players who enjoy extended skirmishes over one-shot combos. Her weakness is implied by the kit itself: attacking or casting briefly reveals her in the shroud, and with only 125 attack range she must commit deep to deal damage, so mistimed engages are punished hard.
